Your Purpose Serves a Purpose

What do you think of when I say Purpose.

Do you feel lost when asked, “What is your purpose”?

Do you feel overwhelmed when confronted with the task of determining what it is?

Does purpose feel elusive to you? Like something that’s for others, but not for you?

With so many of the women we coach, the answer to these questions is a resounding – YES!

Purpose seems HARD!

But, what exactly is purpose?

We believe your purpose is why you are here, a participant in this world, at this particular time. We also believe it’s your responsibility to find out why. Below are common misconceptions about what your purpose is. Let’s explore some of these:

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Purpose = Profession.  Your job might express your purpose, but it’s not equal to it. Your real purpose is rooted in who you are and how you love and serve others — and that can happen in any job or season of life.

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ Purpose is a single, magical destination. Once I find it, I’ll finally be fulfilledPurpose isn’t a one-time discovery — it’s a lifelong journey of obedience, surrender, and growth. It is refined as you learn and grow.

πŸ‘‰πŸΏ If it’s not public, platform-worthy, or changing the world, it’s not meaningful. Purpose can look like raising kind kids, loving your neighbor, mentoring one person, or quietly being a light in your workplace.

πŸ‘‰ If it’s my purpose, it’ll come naturally and always feel good. Living out your purpose is often hard, stretching, and sacrificial. But it’s also deeply rewarding, because it aligns your life with eternity.

πŸ‘‰πŸΌπŸ˜Š Purpose is self-centered — about my dreams, fulfillment, or legacy. Your purpose isn’t ultimately just about you — it’s centered around serving others with your unique gifts and talents.

Now that we have a better idea of what purpose is NOT, let’s identify some strategies to help you find your purpose.

✨ Identify Your Passions. What excites you to talk about, fix, create, or fight for? You may have specific passions in your heart that serve as a hint toward your purpose.

✨ What Are You Naturally Good At? What comes more easily to you than to others? What do people thank you for? Your talents and gifts are tools to help you live out your purpose.

✨ Determine The Needs Around You. Purpose often meets real-life needs. What gaps do you see in your neighborhood, school system, family, church, community, workplace, or even online? Where could you be a light or a change agent?

✨ What Is Your Inner Guide Telling You?  This is the anchor. Some call it following your gut,  others (like me)  believe it’s God talking to you – but whatever you call it, LISTEN. It generally guides you in the right direction.

If you’re in a season of wondering or wandering, that’s okay – just don’t stay there
